Top steel firm China Baowu unveils global alliance in emissions effort -Breaking

SHANGHAI, (Reuters) – China Baowu Steel Group has announced the creation of a global alliance for low-carbon metallurgical innovations to help reduce greenhouse gasses in China’s largest steel producer.

The firm stated that the alliance will include major miners and competitors as well as colleges. It also said it aimed at establishing a low carbon metallurgical innovations fund to invest 35m yuan ($5.5million) each year in research.
