Workday Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 -Breaking

On Thursday, Investing.com reported that Workday (NASDAQ) had posted its third quarter results. This was in line with analysts’ predictions and exceeded expectations.

On revenue of $1.33B, Workday reported earnings per share at $1.1 Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of $0.8675 based on $1.31B revenue.

The shares of Workday are up 83% over the beginning of this year but still below 2.88% of its 52-week peak of $307.81 on November 17. Their performance is better than the, which has increased 27.89% since the beginning of the year.

After-hours trading on Workday saw a 5.81% drop in shares of Workday following the news.

This month, Workday is following other important earnings in the Information Technology sector

Following an Apple earnings match, Workday reported $1.24 EPS on $83.36B revenue. Forecasts were for $1.24 EPS on $85.05B revenue.

Microsoft beat all expectations with a first quarter earnings per share of $2.27 on revenues of $45.32B. This compares to a forecast of EPS at $2.08 for revenue of $44B.
