Investing.com – Australia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The gained 0.23 percent at Sydney’s close.

These were the best performers of the session Crown Ltd (ASX): traded at 11.540 after the close, up 16.57%. That’s 1.640 points. Meanwhile, Altium Ltd (ASX: ) was up 5.16% or 2.12 to 43.18 Treasury Wine Estates Ltd Late trade saw the ASX go up by 4.07%, or 0.470 points, to 12.010.

These were the worst performers of the session. Nanosonics Ltd (ASX) fell by 4.92%, or 0.30 points, to close at 5.80. ALS Ltd (ASX 🙂 fell 3.91%, or 0.51 point to finish at 12.52. Zip Co Ltd (ASX 🙂 dropped 3.55%, or 0.21 point to 5.70.

The Sydney Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 747 to 626, and 418 was unchanged at the end.

Altium Ltd. (ASX) shares rose to new highs, up 5.16%.

The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was down 3.50% to 11.708.

The December delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.14%, or 2.55, to $1858.85 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil for January delivery rose 0.99%, or 0.78, to $79.19 per barrel. The January Brent oil contract rose 1.03 percent, or 0.84, to $82.08 per barrel.

The AUD/USD rose 0.4% to 0.7289 while the AUD/JPY rose 0.2% to 83.34.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.8% at 95.618
