Brazil central bank chief sees 2022 inflation shifting away from goal, GDP to be revised down -Breaking

BRASILIA (Reuters – Brazil’s president of the central bank Roberto Campos Neto indicated on Friday that inflation projections for 2022 have risen and are “a little” shifting from its target. Noting that the central banks has tried to reduce it through raising interest rates, he said that this is a sign that things could be changing.

Campos Neto said that Brazilian central banks will likely lower their forecast of GDP growth for next year to 2.1%. He did not offer details.
