India’s Modi to repeal controversial farm laws -Breaking

NEW DELHI, (Reuters) – Indian Prime Minister NarendraModi announced on Friday that he has decided to abolish three farm laws which have been criticized by farmers for over a year.

Modi made the following statement to the nation: “Today I am here to tell you all, the entire country, that our decision to withdraw all three agriculture laws.”

“In the Parliament session that begins later in the month, we’ll complete the constitutional process for repealing these three agricultural laws.”
