Lufthansa expects first Boeing 787 on time for summer season -Breaking

REUTERS/Ralph OrlowskiBERLIN (Reuters – Lufthansa is expected to get its first Boeing 787 (NYSE:) plane in time for next summer, said Chief Executive Carsten Spohr on Friday. He also stated that the airline would be receiving the Boeing 777-9 aircraft in 2023.
Spohr stated that Lufthansa had also been in discussions with Boeing to purchase the freighter version of the 777X. He added that he was open to the possibility of a competition from the Airbus A350 cargoer.
Spohr spoke at an event that saw Lufthansa present a new Boeing 777 to Frankfurt.
