WASHINGTON (Reuters). Northrop-Grumman (NYSE:), Lockheed Martin A Pentagon document states that Raytheon and (NYSE:), have been chosen to study and create a missile system to protect the Pentagon from a hypersonic attack.
These three companies were awarded separate contracts for a glide phase interceptor. It would be controlled by satellites and sensors, which will intercept hypersonic missiles as they glide towards their target.
