KENOSHA WIS. (Reuters] – These were key moments during the Kyle Rittenhouse murder case in Wisconsin. This may have contributed to Friday’s verdict by the jury of acquitting Rittenhouse on all charges.

Rittenhouse (18) was indicted for the murders of Joseph Rosenbaum (36), and Anthony Huber (26), and the injuries to Gaige Grosskreutz (27)

1) Rittenhouse testsifies for his own defence

Rittenhouse, in dramatic and dangerous testimony, took the stand. He stated that he was trying to assist others with medical care and fire extinguishing. His gun was only used after he had been attacked and ambushed.

Rittenhouse broke down crying as he tried to recall the events that had just occurred before Rosenbaum was shot. This prompted the judge’s request for a recess. Rittenhouse returned to the witness stand and stated that Rosenbaum had charged Rittenhouse, saying, “I recall his hand on my gun barrel.”

Cross-examination revealed that Rittenhouse said to the prosecution: “I did whatever I needed to stop the attacker from attacking me.” Although he admitted the use of deadly force, he said that a person was not his intention to kill.

2) Only survivor to testify

Grosskreutz was the last protester to be shot by Rittenhouse and he testified that he pointed his Glock pistol at Rittenhouse, but only advanced on him as a last resort, because he believed he “was going down to die.”

Grosskreutz stated, during cross-examination of the defense that Rittenhouse never fired when his hands were open and only when he approached Rittenhouse holding his pistol.

His arm injuries were so horrific that jurors reacted with horror to the photos.

Three. Eyewitness witnesses Rosenbaum’s suicide

Richie McGinniss, chief video director at the Daily Caller (a conservative website), was possibly the closest eyewitness of any shootings.

Although McGinniss was called by the prosecution as a witness in the case, the testimony of Rittenhouse helped the defense to argue that Rittenhouse acted self-defense. McGinniss stated that Rosenbaum attempted to grab Rittenhouse’s barrel before Rittenhouse fired.

McGinnis was both victim and witness in this case. According to the prosecution, Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum in an attempt to endanger McGinniss. McGinnis stated that he checked to ensure he wasn’t shot.

4) Judge and Prosecutor Spar.

Over the course of the testimony, Kenosha county judge Bruce Schroeder, and Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger clashed.

They had heated exchanges when Binger examined Rittenhouse.

Schroeder asked twice for the jury members to exit the courtroom, and Binger was then harshly disciplined about his questioning.

Binger was told by the judge, “When you said you were acting with good faith,” He yelled at Binger, “Don’t be brazen with me!”

FBI drone footage

A drone was used by the FBI to monitor the skies from 8,500 feet (22,600 meters) high on the night. As evidence, the infrared grainy video from Rittenhouse was presented at the trial.

Law enforcement officers have been able to observe from the air during protests, but it has also happened at other times. Critics say that this violates civil rights.
