Transition to electric cars threatens 60,000 jobs in Italy

MILAN (Reuters – Italy’s biggest union for metal workers FIMCISL stated on Friday that the switch to electric cars could put at risk 60,000 of its jobs.

Ferdinando Uliano from FIM CISL stated in a statement that “despite all the complaints and requests of trade unions as well as companies, the budget law does not contain any intervention to support a section overwhelmed by changes caused due to the energy and ecological transformation.”
