U.S. SEC taps MIT finance professor Haoxiang Zhu to lead unit overseeing trading and markets -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters), The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission named Haoxiang Zhang Zhu head of their Division of Trading and Markets. This will allow him to support the regulator’s policies on equity market structure and other areas.

Zhu will join the SEC as a professor of finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on December 10, according to the agency. David Saltiel (acting division head) will also serve as Zhu’s second in command.
