An important development in the space of nonfungible tokens is the rising popularity of social impact projects that use digital art to raise money for charity causes. Orica, an ethics funding platform for artists and social-impact organizations (SIOs), uses technology to generate and sell NFTs.

Orica launched Thursday at the Malta AI & Blockchain Summit, or AIBC Malta, and AnnoucedIts collaboration with an NGO in order to remove NFTs from its platform and to use the funds for building a school to Uganda.
