Polemos is a play-to-earn global guild that focuses on Illuvium blockchain game. It closed a strategic round with QCP Soteria and Framework Ventures as co-leaders. Polemos is an exclusive partner of the major online gambling operator Asian Logic, which owns brands such as the world’s leading online gaming/wagering site Dafabet, and Sporting News, a global sports media company.
Polemos was able to secure this round of strategic funding for its launch of Illuvium play-to earn game. Polemos, in collaboration with Asian Logic will launch the game with three players networks: a huge international team of Asian Logic users and a Discord community network. There is also a group of elite gamers.
Feedback from investors showed confidence and excitement for the Polemos project, based on the explosion of activity in the blockchain play-to-earn gaming sector, also known as “Gamefi.”
Sascha Zhehe, CEO, is a former Game Development Product Manager, and currently a member of the Illuvium Council.
Polemos will use the funds raised from the current round to increase its growth by investing in technology, expanding the team, as well as in research and development for potential future gaming opportunities.
Tom Hall, Founder of Asianlogic, former CEO of UK listed global online casino giant, Playtech (LON:) and current CEO of The Sporting News (“TSN”) commented,
We have been playing online games for as many years as possible and have been looking for the perfect opportunity to get into the play-to earn blockchain and esports industries. We are impressed by the level of sophistication that the Illuvium game team brings to it and believe this is an excellent opportunity to use our existing experience and resources. TSN continues to expand its esports coverage, and is looking forward to Illuvium’s progress.
Partnering with a company the size of Asian Logic will have a major impact on all aspects of the blockchain gaming market, and not just Illuvium. All players around the world are asking for custody. Illuvium allows players to have ownership in an NFT-based decentralised game, while still delivering high quality engaging gameplay. Players will be able to enter the Metaverse through guilds such as Polemos, which provide capital and assistance with onboarding. For widespread adoption of crypto gaming, it is essential to address the play-to earn gamers’ needs.
Kieran Warwick is the co-founder of Illuvium.
“Crypto Gaming has been a major player in the last year, as real-life assets ownership has allowed for new dynamic like pay-to-earn. Player run DAOs called Guilds are a natural product of this new environment and we’re extremely excited to partner with Polemos as they begin their journey within the Illuvium ecosystem,”
Yan Liberman of Delphi Digital.
Polemos’ launch will include a series of technology solutions that were specifically designed to help players learn, manage, analyze, and track their progress. Polemos University is a GameFi-specific learning management system. The Polemos DEX, a trading and management platform for guild assets, will also be available. A robust player analytics platform has been developed. The best-in-class analytics tools can help players increase their in-game performance.
Polemos is a player assistance organization that has seen the impact of P2E on developing countries. Polemos helps these guild-members by giving them a solid foundation from which to start. A fixed percentage of the revenues is donated to education and technology improvement grants.
