U.S., Turkey agree on terms to end digital services tax, trade retaliation

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The United States of America and Turkey have reached an agreement on terms to withdraw Turkey’s digital service tax, and transition to a global tax arrangement in 2023, according the U.S. Treasury.

According to the Treasury, this agreement will let the U.S. end retaliatory trade sanctions imposed on Turkey. It will be implemented according to the terms Washington agreed with Austria, Britain France Germany, Germany, and Italy in October.
