DETROIT – The Detroit automakers are asking their roughly 153,000 plant employees represented by the United Auto Workers to voluntarily submit their Covid-19 vaccination status.
The union and the companies agreed to “voluntary, confidential disclosure” about vaccination status at Monday’s meeting of a joint coronavirus task force made up of representatives of both union leaders and members of the union.
