Dollar Tree reported earnings per share at $0.96 on $6.42B in revenue. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted an EPS of $0.9585 for $6.41B in revenue.
Dollar Tree shares have increased 22.7% since the start of the year. However, they are still down 2.233% from their 52-week high of $135.59 on November 19. The shares broadly match the Nasdaq’s 23.02% increase since the start of this year.
Dollar Tree shares fell 1.18% during pre-market trading following the news.

The report by Dollar Tree follows an Amazon.com earnings miss on October 28th, which reported EPS at $6.12 per share on revenue $110.81B. This compares to the forecasts of EPS at $8.9 for revenue $111.55B.
Home Depot beat all expectations with its third quarter earnings per share of $3.92, on $36.82B in revenue. This compares to the forecast of EPS at $3.42 for $34.95B.
