Flaming bus crash in Bulgaria kills 46, mostly Bulgarian tourists -Breaking

SOFIA (Reuters). -A bus that crashed into flames in the middle of a western Bulgarian highway on Tuesday left at least 46 dead, many of whom were tourists from North Macedonia.
Children were the worst offenders. Seven survivors who needed treatment for burns received emergency care in Sofia.
Nikolov stated that at least 45 were killed when a bus was set on fire, crashed or caught fire. The death toll was later increased to 46 by Nikolov’s ministry. The crew had 53 passengers.
At 2:00 AM (0000 GMT), the accident occurred on Struma highway, 45km (28 miles) west Sofia. It was sealed and the Bulgarian interim prime minister Stefan Yanev ran to the site of the tragedy.
Sofia’s emergency hospital confirmed that seven of those receiving treatment had jumped from the bus. All of them were stable.
Bujar Osmani (North Macedonian foreign minister) said that the coach group was on its way back to Skopje following a weekend in Istanbul, Turkey.
