Indian authorities will soon be investigating a bill which would establish a digital rupee beginning next week. They may also consider banning certain cryptocurrency in India.

A Tuesday publication stated that India’s lower chamber of Parliament is named as “The House of Representatives”. Lok SabhaPlease, Will ConsiderAs one of the 26 new bills, Cryptocurrency and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill will be presented to Congress at its next winter session. The document states that lawmakers could vote on legislation that creates “a facilitative framework for creation of the official digital currency” issued by the country’s central bank, the Reserve Bank of India. In addition, the bill proposes the prohibition of “all private cryptocurrencies” with the exception of assets “to promote the underlying technology of cryptocurrency and its uses.”
