House Select Committee investigating deadly Capitol Invasion said Tuesday that it had issued subpoenas for the Proud Boys, and Oath Keepers. These two far-right groups were both involved in the attack on Jan. 6.

Henry “Enrique”, Rhodes and Elmer Stewart Rhodes were also subpoenaed by the committee. 1st Amendment Praetorian was another organisation involved in the events leading up to Jan. 6.

Bennie Thompson, D.Miss. was the chairman of the select committee. He stated in a press statement that “We believe the people and organizations we subpoenaed now have relevant information regarding how violence erupted on the Capitol and the preparation leading into this violent attack.”

A bipartisan House panel will investigate the circumstances that led to the riot. Hundreds of supporters of President Donald Trump stormed Capitol and temporarily halted efforts to verify President Joe Biden’s Electoral College win. After months of Trump’s false accusations that the 2020 election had been rigged, this invasion was inevitable.

Prosecutors stated in court papers, that the Capitol Riot defendant had “discussed coordination and the number Oath Keepers who were planning to be in Washington on January 6.

One subpoena noted that an indictment from Washington Federal Court described a “conspiracy between at least 18 OathKeepers in which members were planning to move together in coordination and regular communication to storm The United States Capitol.”

According to the subpoena, this plot included plans to travel with paramilitary equipment and other supplies to Washington, including guns, radio equipment, plates and helmets.

According to reports, Rhodes was mentioned in press reports as being in direct contact, although not named, with many of the Oath Keepers indicted “before and during” the attack on Capitol.

According to the subpoena, Rhodes “repeatedly suggested that the OathKeepers should or could engage in violence to achieve their preferred election outcome” (written and spoken remarks, prior to January 6, 2020).

This is important breaking news. Stay tuned for new updates.
