Powell, Brainard appointments remove uncertainty for Fed -Breaking

(Reuters) – Raphael Bostic, Atlanta Federal Reserve president, stated Monday that President Joe Biden’s nomination of Jerome Powell to a second term at the Fed Chair removes any uncertainty and “helpful” as policymakers approach critical decisions.

Bostic told Bloomberg Television that “this decision truly takes some uncertainty out the Federal Reserve issue, which I think is beneficial for all of us.” Biden, who renominated Powell in addition to nominating Governor Lael Bullard for Fed vice chair (the central bank’s No. 2 Leadership position.
