Investing.com – U.S. stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The NYSE close saw the index rise 0.17% while it fell 0.50%.

These were the best performers of the session Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:) traded at 406.34 after the close, up 2.57% or 10.18 point. Meanwhile, JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:) added 2.39% or 3.93 points to end at 168.28 and UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (NYSE:) was up 2.19% or 9.59 points to 447.13 in late trade.

Walt and his wife were the session’s worst performers. Disney The Company (NYSE.) fell 2.03%, or 3.13 points, to close at 151.03. Salesforce.com Inc. (NYSE:), fell 1.83% (or 5.42 points) to finish at 291.42. Intel Corporation was down 1.47% (or 0.73 points) to 49.10.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Dollar Tree Inc (NASDAQ) rose 9.17%, to 144.71. APA Corporation (NASDAQ) was up 7.31% and settled at 28.47. Nov Inc(NYSE:) gained 6.87% to close out at 12.92.

These were the worst performers Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE) was lower by 12.31% at 121.01, Agilent Technology Inc (NYSE) lost 4.91% at 154.78, and MGM Resorts International was close to closing down by 4.56% at 42.51

Top performers in the NASDAQ Composite are Aptevo Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: ) Which rose 160.96% to 16,91 Pasithea Therapeutics Corp (NASDAQ) was up 153.39% and settled at 5.60. Qualigen Therapeutics Inc, (NASDAQ) gained 104.00% to reach 2.550.

These were the worst performers Society Pass Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 was trading at a 71.29%-to-11.19 ratio in late trade. Longeveron LLC (NASDAQ:), which fell 39.57% to 17.040, and Enjoy Technology Inc (NASDAQ;), which dropped 34.00% to 4.270 by the end.

The New York Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stocks by 1699-1678. 116 was unchanged. On the Nasdaq Stock Exchange 2136 were down and 1608 moved, while 184 was unchanged.

Dollar Tree Inc (NASDAQ) shares rose to new heights. They rose 9.17%, or 12.15, to 144.71. Society Pass Inc (NASDAQ) shares fell to their lowest levels, falling 71.29% (27.79 to 11.19). Pasithea Therapeutics Corp. NASDAQ: shares reached all-time highs. They rose by 153.39%, or 3.39 to 6.60. Enjoy Technology Inc (NASDAQ) shares fell by 34.00%, or 2.200-4.270.

The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 options, was up 1.10% to 19.38 a new 1-month high.

Dec delivery gold futures fell 0.89% to $1790.20 an troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose by 2.4% to $78.78/barrel in January, and January Brent oil, which rose by 2.83 to $82.53/barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.3% at 1.1249. USD/JPY was up 0.2% at 115.13.

At 96.498, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.05%.
