U.S. to release 50 million barrels of oil from emergency reserve

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The White House said Tuesday that it will make 50 million barrels oil from U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserves in order to cool oil prices.

The White House stated that the release is a combination loan and sale of the reserve. This was in conjunction with other releases from strategic reserves from China, India South Korea and Japan.
