Adidas Originals Partners With Coinbase and The Sandbox -Breaking

Adidas Originals partners with Coinbase and The Sandbox

Assisting with the likes Nike (NYSE:), Adidas has entered the cryptocurrency industry. Adidas Originals (a sub-brand) of German sportswear apparel company Adidas has joined Coinbase (NASDAQ:).

Adidas Originals Tweeted;

Adidas is a part of the booming Metaverse

Discussions in crypto are mostly centered on the metaverse concept. Although early theories suggest that Coinbase and Adidas may have a connection to payments, rumors about a second collaboration changed the public’s opinion.

Many now think that Adidas is following the same path as Nike, after reports about a partnership with the Sandbox. Interestingly, Sandbox even tweeted the following:

While Adidas has refused to respond to a request for more information about the partnership, it tweeted “adiVerse, anyone?” two days prior. Coinbase is also focusing on the creation of an NFT market.

Adidas might harness the power of both platforms and look to NFTs to make a profit, or go further into cryptoverse to accept crypto payments and launch its own metaverse.

Flipside

  • Adidas is already behind its competitor, Nike, which has already revealed its metaverse dubbed ‘NIKELAND,’ also applying for patents with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
