Kryxivia offers Blockchain Gaming with an NFT-Powered Twist. Incubated on UnicryptThe first ever blockchain-based game was launched in 2014, marking the beginning of a new era for gaming. The slow, congested blockchains used by those games imposed serious limits on their growth. It was a problem that hampered the games’ growth and made their play-to-earn (P2E) mechanics unsustainable.
Many of those pioneers in blockchain gaming succumbed to the pressure, and eventually faded into the background. There was a gap in crypto that their absence had left, and it is now vacant. It is now possible thanks to the explosion of NFT technology and more efficient blockchains.
Enter Kryxivia. It’s a new blockchain-based MMORPG that aims to succeed where so many others have faltered – in part by giving players real ownership of their in-game assets. And when it’s ready to launch, it’s going to change the face of blockchain gaming forever. Here’s how.
The World of Kryxivia is open to you
Kryxivia puts players in the world of an old civilization, where they can find artifacts that will give them power and influence. These artifacts are more than just in-game power-ups or buffs. They – along with every other asset in the game – are NFTs. They can be traded, bought, sold, or purchased by players at their will to support a dynamic in-game economy.
When the game launches, the primary goal of the world’s inhabitants will be to find and extract as many of the mine’s artifacts as possible. You can play in groups of four or more players, and the difficulty scales with your party size. Successful mining is a way to advance in the game.
That’s because the artifacts serve as the game’s leveling system, allowing the players that find them to power up their characters based on the effects of each artifact. Players also have the ability to upgrade artifacts, unlocking their potential and allowing them to explore a world full of possibilities.
Kryxivia’s no utopia for adventurers, though. That’s because its developers plan to introduce a PvP system that will let players compete with one another, risking their artifacts and the in-game currency known as KXS. Once that happens, the world of Kryxivia won’t be nearly as peaceful as it once was.
KXA & KXS Tokens
Since the world of Kryxivia revolves around collecting NFT artifacts, it’s more than just a game. It’s also an opportunity for players to earn real money. Kryxivia uses two native tokens to help support its in-game economy. Kryxivia Coin Token KXA, which is the first token used to facilitate on-chain payment for items such as starter packs or special NFTs. It’s also how players can purchase the in-game currency, called the Kryxivia Shard Coin (KXS).
Players can use KXS to pay for things in the game. For example, they can spend KXS on upgrading their artifacts and buying potions from NPCs. They can also sacrifice their KXS to connect their items with Kryxit gemstones that power their magic properties. In-game banks will soon allow players to earn solid returns by staking their KXS.
That mechanic plays an outsize role in the game’s economy because players can spend their KXS to upgrade their NFT items. And as they do, the value of those items increases, creating the possibility for profit when selling them in the game’s marketplace. Successful players can leverage their rare items and hard in-game work into real money by selling them for KXA – turning their gameplay into an income source.
Important Upcoming Events
Kryxivia’s development is still very much in its infancy. The developers have made steady progress towards its launch. They expect to have a public sale for the KXA token before the end of this year to help build liquidity and funds to support the project. KXA will then be publicly listed on CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko and other platforms, making it easier for community members to monitor its prices.
The year ahead will bring the most significant developments. It is expected that the WebGL-based web game will be ready for launch in the first quarter (2022). And that’s also when the in-game marketplace should be ready for launch, allowing for the on-chain trading of in-game items.
Kryxivia, if everything goes as planned, will enter beta during the second quarter. Then, it will start a rush of work to improve its functionality. From there, the world of Kryxivia should be ready for an influx of players, all competing for wealth and power – both inside and outside of the game. Kryxivia, with its combination of NFT gaming assets and unique web-based gameplay will prove that it is the future in blockchain gaming. For the developers and inhabitants of the game’s world, the sky’s the limit from there.
