Bail hearing pushed back for Canadian designer Peter Nygard, who faces sex charges -Breaking

TORONTO, Reuters – Peter Nygard (Canadian fashion designer) was granted bail on Friday. The hearing will be held Dec. 10, at 2:20 p.m.

Nygard is currently being held in Toronto prison. He faces both Canadian and American charges. According to his lawyer, he is working with the prosecution to set up a bail hearing for two days.

Nygard has been charged with sexual assault https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/canadian-fashion-designer-nygard-consents-us-extradition-media-2021-10-01 and forcible confinement for incidents allegedly occurring between 1987 and 2006. On charges of racketeering, sextrafficking and racketeering, Nygard could also be extradited to the United States.

While the 80-year-old denied any wrongdoings, she consented for extradition. However, this is dependent upon Canada’s approval.
