GENEVA (Reuters), – Friday’s World Trade Organization meeting was postponed because of the deteriorating healthcare situation and the emergence of a new, worrying coronavirus variant. Sources said that the decision was made by the World Trade Organization to delay the first ministerial meeting for four years.

Next week, ministers representing the 164 WTO member countries were expected to meet for an event that was seen as a testing of WTO’s relevancy.
