NAIROBI (Reuters] – U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was deeply concerned by Ethiopia’s military escalation. He called for urgent negotiations.

Ned Price made the statement in late Friday’s statement. “Secretary Blinken raised grave concerns about alarming signs of military escalation and stressed the urgent need for negotiations.”

Price issued the statement following a call between Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and Blinken.
