U.S. issues ‘Do Not Travel’ advisory for eight African countries -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters), – On Saturday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and State Department warned against traveling to eight African countries following a White House announcement of new travel restrictions to address a COVID-19 variation.
While the CDC elevated its South Africa travel advice to “Level Four,” which is very high for Zimbabwe, Namibia Mozambique and Lesotho as well State Department advisories that “Do Not Travel” were issued Saturday, Tuesday’s CDC travel advisory regarding South Africa under COVID-19 was lowered to “Level 2: Low” by the CDC.
