Julian Robertson is a legend investor and innovator in the hedge fund industry. He was mentor to many proteges over his 50 year career. Robertson’s hedge-fund Tiger Management gave them the nickname of “Tiger Cubs”.

Some of these investors started their own funds. Others became prominent players in this industry such as Lone Pine Capital’s Stephen Mandel, Viking Global Investors’ Andreas Halvorsen and Maverick Capital’s Lee Ainslie. Chase Coleman, Tiger Global Management’s CEO, was one example.
