Fauci says U.S. should prepare to do anything to fight omicron variant

Americans need to be prepared to do “anything and everything” to fight the omicron Covid variant, U.S. infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday.

Fauci, who spoke on ABC’s This Week, said that lockdowns and new mandates are not yet appropriate.

Last week, the World Health Organization classified Omicron as an “Omicrin.”variant of concernIt is considered more contagious, more violent, and more adept at evading public healthcare measures, vaccines, and therapeutics.
