France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.54% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The index gained 0.47 percent at the Paris close.

These were the best performers of the session Kering SA (PA:) traded at 683.80, up 2.75% or 18.30 point at the close. WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (+2.63%) rose 1.54 points, to 60.00. STMicroelectronics NNV (PA) was also up 2.60 points, or 1.09 to 43.02 by late trade.

These were the worst performers of the session. Carrefour SA (PA:), fell 1.97% (0.31 points) to trade at 15.17 by the close. Renault SA (PA:), fell 1.57% or 0.47 to 29.14 Air Liquide SA (PA:), was at 147.36 with a drop of 0.79%.

These were the top performers on SBF 120 Valneva (PA) rose 9.44% to 28,480. DBV Technologies (PA) was up 4.87% and settled at 5.51 Elior Group (PA:), which saw a gain of 3.48%, to close at 5.79.

They were among the most disappointing. Faurecia (PA) was at 7.93%, or 37.14 as of late trade. Valeo SA (PA) lost 3.87% and settled at 24.57. Plastic Omnium SE (PA:), which fell 3.07% to 21,46 at the closing.

The Paris Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpass declining stocks by 334 to 294 while 71 ended the same.

Valneva’s shares rose by 9.54%, or 2.480 to 28.580 to record highs.

The February delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.16%, or 2.80, to $1785.30 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil rose by 2.82 percent to $70.97 per barrel in January, and the Brent oil contract for February traded at $74.15 per barrel.

EUR/USD dropped 0.49% at 1.1262, while EUR/GBP declined 0.08% to 0.8475

At 96.430, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.34%.
