HONG KONG, (Reuters) – Shares in Suncity Group Holdings Ltd were suspended Monday following the arrest of its chief executive by Macau authorities Sunday for allegedly being linked to money laundering and cross-border gambling.
South China Morning Post reports that Macau police arrested a 47 year-old man named Chau on Sunday. Alvin Chau heads Suncity.
Suncity couldn’t be reached for comment. Last time shares were sold, they closed at HK$0.255.
