UK regulator set to block Meta’s Giphy deal

(Reuters) – The UK Competition regulator will block Meta’s purchase of Giphy online GIF platform Giphy within the next few days, in an escalation in its assault on Big Tech.
The Competition and Markets Authority plans to reverse the agreement in what would be the first instance of the regulator reversing a Big Tech deal, FT reported.
