UnitedHealth forecasts 2022 profit below estimates -Breaking

(Reuters] – UnitedHealth Group Inc. (NYSE:), Monday’s forecast for profit for 2022 was lower than Wall Street estimates. It is dealing with an increase of insurance claims due the COVID-19 epidemic.

According to the U.S. insurance company, it expects to report an adjusted profit between $21.10 and $21.60 per share by 2022. According to Refinitiv IBES data, analysts were on average estimating a profit in the range of $21.65 to $21.60 per share.

UnitedHealth however raised its lower 2021 adjusted earnings forecast of 10 cents. The company had forecast previously a range between $18.65 and $18.90 per shared.
