STOCKHOLM (Reuters] -Airline SAS said Tuesday that it suffered a less severe loss during its August and October quarters as travel slowly picked up but was still affected by the pandemic.
This airline is owned by part of the governments of Sweden, Denmark, and reported a 4th quarter fiscal loss before taxes of 945 Million Swedish Crowns ($104M) compared with a 3.25 Billion loss in the previous year.
Anko van de Werff, Chief Executive stated that even though ticket sales were on the rise, uncertainty was still a major factor in the rapid growth of the company.
In a statement, he stated, “We remain cautious as prevailing uncertainties,” but he noted that the underlying demand will increase once all restrictions have been removed, for both leisure and business travel.
We remain positive for peak times ahead, but we need to fully analyze the short-term effects of recent developments.
