India’s economy grows 8.4%y/y in July-Sept quarter

NEW DELHI, (Reuters) – India’s economy grew 8.4% in the quarter ended July-Sept. Official data released Tuesday.

After a record 20.1% quarter, the Sept quarter read-out was within 8.4% of analysts’ forecasts.

According to updated figures, the economy contracted 7.4% during the same quarter one year ago, as the economy was struggling with pandemic restrictions.
