GENEVA (Reuters), – While global trade growth is stable in the second quarter of 2018, the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development said Tuesday that the outlook for 2022 remains uncertain.

UNCTAD reported in a Trade Update that “the positive trend for international commerce in 2021 is largely the product of strong recovery in demand thanks to subsiding Pandemic Restrictions, Economic Stimulus Packages and increases in commodity price,” UNCTAD claimed.

“However the outlook for 2022 is still very uncertain.”
