CNN’s Chris Cuomo calls suspension over efforts to help brother ’embarrassing’ -Breaking

(Reuters). CNN’s Chris Cuomo claimed Wednesday his suspension by the network for failing to provide assistance to Andrew Cuomo (ex-Governor of New York), in response to accusations of sexual misconduct, was “embarrassing”. The anchor also cited an earlier apology.
Cuomo was the top news anchor on the network and was temporarily suspended after it was revealed that documents showed that he had been more involved in the advice of his brother about how to handle the accusations which ultimately resulted in Andrew Cuomo’s resignation as governor.
Cuomo informed listeners of a SiriusXM radio program that he had been removed from CNN. It’s embarrassing to even admit it. It’s embarrassing.”
Cuomo stated that he had understood the reason he was removed and how colleagues felt about it.
He said, “It was the last thing that I wanted to do was harm any of my coworkers.”
Cuomo is CNN’s host of America’s #1 prime-time news channel. He admitted to it in May that he broke some rules when advising his brother about how to respond from a public relations angle. Cuomo also promised not to air the story on television.

CNN reported Tuesday in a statement that Cuomo had been suspended after new court documents were released on Monday.
New York Attorney general Letitia James released documents showing texts and messages that Chris Cuomo used to seek out information from his sources media outlets about the case, and the women involved.
These documents indicate that there was more involvement by his brother in the efforts of his brother than previously known. CNN stated that Chris has been suspended indefinitely pending further investigation.
Andrew Cuomo, the governor of New York was forced to resign in August amid multiple sexual misconduct allegations. Cuomo has denied all wrongdoing.
Andrew Cuomo has been charged in criminal court with misdemeanors sex offences.
