REUTERS/Mike BlakeWASHINGTON (Reuters] – The administration of President Joe Biden will increase the requirement that travelers wear masks on planes, trains, buses, airports and station platforms until mid-March in order to combat COVID-19 threats, according to sources familiar with the matter.
According to sources, a formal announcement regarding the extension of the requirements until March 18 was expected Thursday. White House and Transportation Security Administration declined to comment. The TSA extended in August the transport mask order, which runs until Jan. 18.
