(Reuters). During Wednesday’s hearing of arguments in a case in which the Supreme Court could reverse the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling, in which abortion was legalized nationwide, pro-choice and antiabortion activists will be holding dueling rallies.

Both sides said that hundreds of activists would arrive in the early hours of Wednesday, according to organizers. At 10 AM, the justices will meet. ET (14:00 GMT) will be used to discuss Mississippi’s attempt to revive an 2018 Republican-backed state law that bans abortion after 15 weeks. This was blocked by lower courts.

About 60 prochoice activists are expected to engage in “civil Disobedience”, according to Heidi Sieck, CEO and cofounder #VOTEPROCHOICE. This voter mobilization project aims to elect candidates who support abortion access.

Sieck stated that the group would “engage in radical self expression” using signs, songs, costumes and other visuals. They also plan to stay in the streets until they are forced to move. This could be against local traffic laws.

Sieck indicated in an interview, “If it does involve an arrest,”

Sieck stated that it was “not good news” for pro-abortion rights advocates, as the Mississippi court has a conservative majority of 6-3.

She stated, “I’m very worried that these justices will view the case in a way that isn’t reflective of our pro-choice nation.”

Pro-abortion protestors who will gather outside the Supreme Court Wednesday expect the justices not to restrict abortion access.

Mark Harrington of Created Equal, president, stated that the fact that the four justices chose to hear the case shows that they are interested in doing something regarding abortion and Roe V. Wade.

Harrington announced that over 100 anti-abortion demonstrations would be held on Wednesday in statehouses, courtshouses, and other government buildings across the nation to press states to ban abortions.

Harrington stated, “It’s an opportunity to mobilize people not only for the oral arguments, but also for what we hope will happen which is the overturning Roe.”
