U.S. ITC starts probe of possible patent violations of circuits, devices -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters), – On Wednesday, the U.S. International Trade Commission said that they would investigate some integrated circuits, chipsets and other electronic devices. This was based on a report filed by NXP Semiconductors NV (NASDAQ): Taiwan’s unit and the U.S.

NXP alleges these products are infringing on its patents. The agency has requested that the ITC issue an order to stop such imports.

According to the U.S. ITC, the investigation would be focused on imports from MediaTek Inc. of Taiwan and its U.S. affiliate; Amazon (NASDAQ):); Belkin International or Linksys.
