U.S. Department of Justice investigates claims of sexual harassment against former New York Governor. Andrew Cuomo, a newly disclosed document reveals.

The three-term incumbent Democrat resigned in AugustFollowing a very thorough investigation commissioned by state Attorney General Letitia JamesCuomo was found to have sexually harassed at most 11 women. Many of these were employees of his administration.

James claimed that his actions against women had violated federal and state laws at a press conferment a week earlier than Cuomo was due to quit.

In a contract for legal services, the current governor disclosed the DOJ’s federal investigation into Cuomo. Kathy Hochul signed with the law firm Wilkie Farr & Gallagher.

In the same contract, it was noted that Cuomo had been requested by the DOJ (and other law enforcement agencies) for details about his response to the Covid-19 pandemic. This included how he handled cases involving nursing homes patients.

According to the document, authorities also requested information regarding a lucrative deal Cuomo struck in order for him to write a book on his state’s response to pandemics.

According to the contract, “The DOJ has also conducted an investigation into sexual harassment claims against the former Governor.”

Rich Azzopardi was a Cuomo spokesperson when asked by the DOJ about his inquiry. He stated, “Our understanding of the Civil Division.” [of the DOJ]Based on the AG’s August report, I opened an inquiry. [attorney general’s]Politically motivated scam report, and nothing has been heard since.
