A statement by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, (CCDI), announced the investigation on Friday without further detail.
CCDI began in October and inspected 25 financial institutions, including the central banking, insurance and regulatory regulators and stock exchanges. It also inspected asset-management and commercial banks.
