China’s top anti-graft watchdog probing Shanghai head of banking and insurance regulator -Breaking

BEIJING (Reuters), China’s anti-corruption chief said that Han Yi of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission Shanghai is under investigation for grave violations of party discipline and other national laws.

A statement by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, (CCDI), announced the investigation on Friday without further detail.

CCDI began in October and inspected 25 financial institutions, including the central banking, insurance and regulatory regulators and stock exchanges. It also inspected asset-management and commercial banks.
