(Reuters] – A U.S. congressional investigation into the January 6th attack on Capitol claimed that Jeffrey Clark, a top Justice Department official under President Donald Trump’s supervision, had to be deposed due to a medical condition.

“Mr. Clark informed the Select Committee through his attorney of a health condition that prevents him participating in tomorrow’s meetings and has provided ample evidence supporting his claim,” the Select Committee reported on Friday. It also said it agreed to delay the deposition until December 16.
