Protest against coronavirus restrictions turns violent in Brussels -Breaking

BRUSSELS, (Reuters) – Police used teargas and water cannons to disperse demonstrators who pelted officers with fireworks and cobblestones during a violent demonstration against government COVID-19 restrictions in Brussels.
A few thousand demonstrators marched peacefully from the center of Brussels to the neighborhood that houses the headquarters of European Union institution, and the protest reached its final point.
A group of black-clad protestors chanting freedom and hurling stones at the police started throwing rocks in the EU quarter, as per footage captured by Reuters journalists.
Protestors were protesting against October rules that require people to display COVID-19 ID cards in order to get into bars and restaurants.
Alain Sienaort, a martial arts instructor, stated that he couldn’t tolerate discrimination of any kind.
It’s discrimination. We have to stop it. We do not want a dictatorship.
