Coupa Software Delivers Upbeat Guidance, Tops Q3 Results -Breaking

Investing.com – Coupa Software reported Monday third-quarter results that topped Wall Street, led by growth in subscriptions amid ongoing demand.   

After-hours trading for Coupa Software (NASDAQ) was affected by the news and fell over 8%

Third quarter EPS was 31 cents, up from 18 cents a year earlier as revenue improved to 40% year-over-year to $185.8 million from $133 million. Wall Street had expected Q3 earnings per share of 2 cents based on $178.3million in revenue.

Revenues from subscriptions were $164.7million, an increase in 40% when compared with the same period last. 

“[W]”We are seeing strong acceptance of the Coupa platform by our customers as they continue to place Business Spend Management at the forefront of their strategy,” said the company.

Looking forward to Q4, EPS was expected to range from 3 to 5 cents on revenues of $185.0million to $186.0million. This is compared to the consensus estimate of loss of 5 cents per share for $184.2 million in revenue.

Fiscal 2022 EPS was forecast to be between 66 and 69cs on revenues of $717million to $718million. Wall Street expected EPS to be 30 cents per Share on revenues of $707.7 millions.
