SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Shares in Brazilian planemaker Embraer SA (NYSE: ) More than 4% rose after Eve Urban Air Mobility (subsidiary of Eve Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft (eVTOL)) received 60 orders from Australian companies.

Embraer has announced a partnership agreement with Sydney Seaplanes on Monday, which will enable it to implement electric air taxi services in the Greater Sydney area. It said that 50 electric taxis will be ordered from Sydney Seaplanes starting in 2026.

Embraer announced Saturday that Nautilus, an Australian helicopter operator, had placed a 10 unit order for Eve’s eVTOLs in Queensland to be used at Queensland’s tourist attractions.

Embraer, which gained 4.8% early in the afternoon, was one of the most prominent performers on the stock market.
