The index fell 1.65% at the NSE close, to a 3-months-lower.

Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. fell 0.40%, to 2760.00. HDFC Bank Ltd. was down 0.51%, to settle at 155.40. Tata Steel Ltd. lost 0.80%, to close at 1109.05.

IndusInd Bank Ltd., which fell 3.75% to 915.55 late trade, Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (BO) that lost 3.43% at 16894.80 was the worst performer and Bharti Airtel Ltd. (BO) was at the closing down by 2.96% at 697.10.
