U.S. wants private sector to operate with full information about China’s Xinjiang -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The U.S. State Department Monday stated that it wanted the private sector to have full knowledge about the events in Xinjiang. This comes after the U.S. announced it wouldn’t send officials to Beijing for the 2022 Winter Olympics.

When Ned Price, a spokesperson for the State Department said that the Biden administration wanted American companies to boycott the Olympic Games, he stated: “We want to the private sector be fully cognizant of and to function with full information regarding what is occurring in Xinjiang.”

He stated that the government was not authorized to determine the best practices for the private sector.
