Here’s what I see, December 6, 2021

  • Rivian (RIVN)Started at JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan neutral…but made 9 purchases…Morgan Stanley calls it “the one”… cites compelling  product, strong  management, Amazon  relationship…                                         
  • PNC Financial (PNC)Morgan Stanley has flipped from holding to selling… almost always a poor call. The Street is fond of large regional firms like this… so the firm buys to keep on Citigroup (C)Also… wow, so far below tangible book. Someone must really not like that one. Betsy Graseck is a powerful analyst and says a dearth of catalysts…upgrades Goldman (GS)To Sell or Hold
  • Deutsche Bank (DB)JPMorgan upgraded the hold and now you can buy
  • Very high impact Home Depot (HD)Opco upgrades hold to buy… Cites ongoing sales, even outsized profit expansion… Lowe’s raises target price to $300 at $235
  • Weave Communications (WEAV)…small and medium-sized businesses helpers…targeted websites… This IPO opened at $24, but then closed lower… The story of late IPOs ?… $21.80 opening… This is why Street Today has been recommended.
  • Lucid (LCID)SEC investigates Churchill IV combination got subpoena December 3
  • Goldman begins Regeneron (REGN)Buy Dupixent, which is an anti-eczema medication
  • Boston Beer (SAM)…the pain done—Cowen goes from sell to hold $400 goes to $500…
  • Citi moves Applied Materials (AMAT)Top pick to replace Charitable Trust name Marvell Technology (MRVL)This group had a fantastic quarter that was way better than the others.
  • Electronic Arts (EA)Citi Upgrades from Hold to Buy… Washed Out and $150 Target Down from $160
  • Lulu’s Fashion Lounge (LVLU)… Another bust of a deal… $14.05 pricing; LVLU opens at 14.05 now at $11Yet, it gets 9 Buy Ratings Today
  • Chewy (CHWY) cut from buy to hold at Wedbush… reports on the ninth of this week… an omen?… This $26 billion company is worth selling ?… An analyst predicts lower growth than the consensus…
  • Left field—Will Russia invade Ukraine soon?… NATO allies swing to Biden assessment…
  • China cuts reserves banks have to hold by ½ %To counter the economic slowdown,… release $188 billion
  • Ulta Beauty (ULTA)PT at Barclays increased from $492 to $516… Analyst loved the surprise upside
