Spanish Zara launches its first collection in The Metaverse
  • This chain of shops ventures in the metaverse to launch its clothing collection for avatars and humans.
  • These models can be found in the metaverse of ZEPETO, a South Korean tech company.

Zara, the Spanish multinational fashion brand, has announced its first collection for avatars and humans. The physical and virtual models can be purchased at the chain’s stores anywhere in the world.

Zara shared via Twitter (NYSE:), that designs for the new collection were created in collaboration with Ader Error. Ader Error is one of South Korea’s largest clothing companies.

This joint release of the AZ collection series is expected to be one the most discussed in the metaverse. According to the Spanish chain, models were inspired by fashion trends.

All the items from the new collection can be purchased through the ADERERRORXZARA Virtual Store, which is hosted on the ZEPETO Platform. The site states that “you can buy virtual clothing and makeup for your avatar.”

To The Flipside

  • Famous Spanish retailer, with over 7000 locations around the globe, has taken its first steps to enter Web 3.0. There are already 50,000 interested users in the collection.
  • ZEPETO’s choice to launch Zara’s new virtual fashion collection is no accident. It is an extremely popular metaverse, with more than 200 million active users. The last year has seen a lot of growth.

Users can create virtual versions of themselves on the ZEPETO platform and also experience a completely digital life. Metaverse fans can create animated images by simply taking a photo.

The designs of Zara’s new virtual collection reflect the lifestyle of people “whose personalities are shaped by their simultaneous experiences in the real and virtual world,” the brand writes on its website.

This is “a project that reflects on the ability of language to express ideas, give rise to other ways of thinking and create new cultures,” it adds.

The AZ Collection is made up of unisex dyes, and features wide and easy patterns. It includes casual winter wear such as sweaters, jackets and pants.

Likewise, “it includes accessories such as scarves and wool hats, or something different, such as shirts and suits. Tones such as blue, gray and black predominate throughout the collection ”, as described by the Heraldo.es site”.

The online shop and some stores are available for purchase in Spain, South Korea and Japan. Garments with an average price of 199 Euros can be found in their physical shops as well.

The traffic to ZEPETO is a huge draw for the Zara, Ader Error and Ader Error brands. Accessing the platform allows you to customize avatars and access various personal items, including clothing, accessories, and other apparel.
